How to Play Unison Fishing

(1) Equip a Fishing Rod and Bait
Tap the [Gear] button on the Fishing Spot screen to select your Bait and Fishing Rod.
Bait: A type of Gear used to catch fish. Consumed upon use.
Fishing Rod: A type of Gear used to catch fish. Not consumed upon use.
*If you run out of Bait, you can purchase more from the Fishing Shop.

(2) Cast your Fishing Rod
Once you've equipped some Bait and a Fishing Rod, tap the surface of the water to cast your line.
After the float hits the water, wait for the shadow of a fish to approach it.

(3) Timing
When the fish takes the bait, a [!] icon will appear over your player's head.
Tap the screen as soon as the [!] icon appears.
When you tap the screen, "HIT" or "PERFECT" will be displayed.
PERFECT: Appears when you tap the screen at just the right time after the [!] icon appears. This makes the fish easier to catch.
HIT: Appears for anything other than a perfectly timed tap. This does not otherwise affect how easy or difficult it is to catch the fish.
*You can tap the screen at any time before a fish takes the bait to cancel fishing.
*[!] icon: There are 4 different types of timing icons.
*Bait consumption: The fish takes the bait once the [!] icon appears. At this point, the bait is consumed even if you do not catch the fish.
*Bait consumption quantity: One piece of bait is consumed per fish.

(4) Reel in the fish
After step (3) you will need to tap repeatedly to reel in the fish.
Tap action: Tap the screen as fast as you can to lower the HP gauge of the fish.
HP gauge: The fish's HP gauge appears above the shadow of the fish in the water.
Success: Reduce the HP gauge to 0 to successfully reel in and catch the fish. Caught fish are kept in your Fishing Inventory.
Failure: You will fail to catch the fish if it manages to escape before its HP gauge is reduced to 0.

■ Auto Fishing Function
After you tap the water in step (2) above, Auto Fishing mode will commence.
Steps (2) through (4) above will be repeated until you run out of Bait.
You can still tap the screen while in Auto Fishing mode.
Tapping the screen will take you out of Auto Fishing mode.
*Auto Fishing mode will stop once you've run out of Bait.
*Fish can still escape in Auto Fishing mode.
*The Results screen is not displayed in Auto Fishing mode.
*Start of Auto Fishing mode: Auto Fishing mode starts when you tap the water to cast your Fishing Rod.
